Frequently asked questions about Salesgram

Everything you need to know about Salesgram: how it works, data security, how it differs from CRMs and passive mining tools, importing and team use.

FAQ

Are my contacts and conversations safe?+

Yes. Data lives in Postgres with row-level security: everyone sees only their own. Conversations go through Anthropic Claude only to extract the signals and are never used for training. Export everything to CSV whenever you want and delete your account in one click.

How is it different from Affinity or HubSpot?+

Affinity and similar tools do passive mining: they read email and calendar to infer relationships. Salesgram uses active tagging: you decide the semantics of your network, the AI helps but does not decide for you. HubSpot is a sales CRM, not a discovery engine: different categories.

How does active tagging work?+

You tag the people you meet with your own semantics, what you actually talked about. The taxonomy is hierarchical, so "kubernetes" knows it is "devops". When two contacts share a tag, an opportunity is created automatically.

Does the AI decide what to add to my data?+

No, never. Every suggestion (tags, opportunities, signals from conversations, a company website analysis) is a proposal you accept or reject one by one. Nothing enters your data silently.

Where can I import contacts from?+

From LinkedIn (paste a URL and experience, role and photo come in), from Google Contacts in one click, and from CSV. CSV export is always available.

Do I have to leave my CRM?+

No. Salesgram lives next to your CRM, it does not replace it. You import the contacts you care about and tag them only where it makes sense.
